The design is simple and minimalistic, even austere, I would say.
The essay generation process, like the website design, is super simple. You just need to enter an essay topic and the tool immediately generates a small essay sample. Unfortunately, since there’s no option to add additional instructions, the generated essay does not meet the required requirements at all.
After generating an essay, EssayGenius.ai for some reason offers to generate an essay structure. I tried several times and each time the structure didn’t match the already-written essay.
The only useful tool is the Genius generator. It has three options: Suggest, Complete, and Rephrase.
- Suggest – It allows you to insert instructions and then generates a small paragraph. At least it matches the essay topic.
- Complete – It suggests completing a sentence. It can be useful in rare cases.
- Rephrase – It rewrites an already prepared sentence.
These options can definitely be helpful when writing an essay from scratch. But to be honest, ChatGPT does all the same things, but for free.
Also, EssayGenius.ai allows you to check the generated essay for plagiarism. A useful tool, but unfortunately, it lacks the ability to check it for AI.
My experience of using this AI writing tool is negative. I couldn’t generate an essay according to my instructions. Moreover, I believe it’s simply impossible. There’s also no way to specify the length of the essay, the format, etc. As for the references, you can forget about them entirely.

The generated essay didn’t meet the professor’s instructions, neither in content, nor in length, nor in formatting. If I had submitted it as it was, I would definitely have received an F.

The prices are quite high, you can definitely find better options. A monthly subscription costs as much as $14.99 and gives you up to 1000 essay generations. If you purchase for a year, you can save a bit, but do you need an essay generator all year round? I highly doubt that.
