Textero.ai is not just an AI essay writer, but a full suite of AI tools for working with texts. Its advantages include a pleasing design, user-friendly interface, and simplicity of use. However, the presence of plagiarism, the low quality of the generated essays, and questionable points in the Terms of Use raise doubts about the advisability of using this tool.

Experience
The design of the Textero.ai website is similar to other AI essay-writing tools. Key information like pricing and frequently asked questions are readily accessible, and there’s ample guidance on how to use the tool.
Signing up is straightforward and quick, no hassle there. Once registered, you get access to four handy text tools: the Essay generator, Text summarizer, Outline generator, and AI reference finder.
Our primary interest is the Essay generator. However, other tools could also prove beneficial for students.
Generating an essay is simple and intuitive. You can input the Subject, Topic, Description, and Number of Pages and Sources required. You also have the option to choose between MLA and APA styles.
The tool takes a few minutes to generate the essay, after which you can either preview it online, regenerate it, or download it as a Word file.
Overall, my experience using the tool was extremely positive. Despite minor limitations like a restricted number of styles, I rate it a solid 4 out of 5.

Quality
The generated essay, frankly, didn’t turn out well. Although the generated essay partially addresses the questions and meets the length and reference count, it lacks cohesion. The paragraphs seem similar to each other and feel disjointed.
The references don’t correspond to the essay. For my literary analysis topic, the tool added a reference to the article ‘Pregnant Women Infected with Zika Virus Show Higher Viral Load and Immunoregulatory Cytokines Profile with CXCL10 Increase‘. That’s nonsensical!
Next, I decided to check the essay for plagiarism in Turnitin:
- Similarity Index: 33%
- AI: 69%
The generated essay didn’t pass either the plagiarism or the AI detection check.
Overall, the essay turned out weak and, moreover, didn’t pass the plagiarism check. Submitting such an essay to a professor is out of the question.

Pricing
The first 3,000 words are free. If you need an unlimited word count, it will cost $16.99 per month. While it’s not the cheapest AI writing tool, the large set of features and the fairly generous free package make the pricing policy reasonable.
Rating: 3/5
Terms of Use
The terms and conditions are fairly transparent.
Pros:
- You can cancel your subscription for free within the first 7 days.
- There is information about the company available.
Cons:
- Interestingly, while they offer unlimited words, they do not guarantee this in practice.
- They retain rights to all generated essays, which means they can use them for their purposes in the future.
What I didn’t like was the fact that you don’t receive rights to the generated essays, and even with the purchase of a paid package, you still don’t get unlimited access.

Online Reviews
Unfortunately, there are no reviews for Textero.ai on Sitejabber yet. On TrustPilot, there are only four reviews, three of which are negative.
Due to the lack of positive feedback, I’m giving it a rating of 2 out of 5.
